My name is Abeer Kobercy Saad and I was born and raised in the Koura District of Lebanon. I am happily married to Nicolas Saad and we have three beautiful children, Yara, Yazan, and Seela-Grace. I have a Bachelors of Arts from the Lebanese American University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wingate University. I am the Vice President of YARA INCORPORATED, I co-own Sensational Touch Events, and I also freelance as a make-up artist. I have been a MPC board member since 2013. I love traveling, socializing and creating something from nothing.
Lamia Hanna

My name is Lamia Hanna and I am the Immediate Past President of the Metrolina Phoenician Club. I am originally from the Koura District of Lebanon and have been living in Charlotte for most of my life. I am a business owner, a wife, mother to three beautiful children, and a grandmother. I am a woman who loves to stay busy and I always enjoy helping people.

My name is Ghada Ternanni and I have served as the Metrolina Phoenician Club Secretary since 2016. Born in the USA and raised in the Charlotte area, I am the oldest of 4 daughters to Lebanese immigrant parents. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Always connected to my Lebanese heritage, during my time at UNC Charlotte, I chartered and founded the Lebanese Student Association. On the national level, I had the honor of representing North Carolina in the Miss Lebanon Emigrant USA Pageant in 2015. I currently work at Bank of America supporting Fortune 500 Global Corporate & Investment Banking Client profitability.
Johnny Mawardi

My name is Johnny Mawardi and I am originally from Syria. I have been living in Charlotte for 20 years and I love everything about it. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in Business Management and Marketing. I co-own Sensational Touch Events along with helping manage my family's real estate all over the US. I started my involvement with the MPC as part of the Young Adults group growing up and I became a Board Member in 2018. I love to travel and explore the world. Welcome to the MPC!
Dr. Wissam Nadra

My name is Dr. Wissam Nadra and I am a pediatrician in private practice around the Lake Norman area, just north of Charlotte. Born in Sebnay, Lebanon, I grew up in Dubai and later in Los Angeles, CA, after immigrating to the US with my parents and two younger brothers. Shortly after we got married, my beautiful wife Widad and I moved to NC in 2000. We have three children: daughter Nahi, and two sons: Edouard and Nicolas that were born in NC and being raised here. Joining the Metrolina Phoenician Club as a member in 2004, I later served on the Board for a number of years off and on, prior to assuming the position of MPC President for the years 2016 and 2017 and now 2020 - 2023.

Omar Elkara
Head of Events Catering
My name is Omar Elkara and I am originally from Lebanon. I have lived in Charlotte since 1989 and have been a Board Member of the MPC since 1992. I have been Head Chef for many different country clubs in Charlotte and I am the Head of Events Catering at MPC.
Dr. Emile Khuri

My name is Dr. Emile Khuri and I am originally from Palestine. I spent the best years of my life in Lebanon, as I graduated from American University in Beirut with a Medical Doctor degree since 1968 and met my bride since 1972. I am blessed with three children and seven grandchildren.
Charles Saleh

My name is Charles Saleh. I joined the MPC Board in 2020, before then, I had always been very involved in the Club. I immigrated from Lebanon and attended Iowa State University for my Bachelor's Degree and earned my Masters from Georgia Tech. I founded a digital product development services company, Tin Roof Software. I am also a father of 5, along with my wife, Mary.
Dr. Elias Arbid

Hello everyone, my name is Elias Arbid. My wife, Rita, and I moved to Charlotte in 2019. In addition to North Carolina, I have lived in several states including Maryland, Virginia, and Massachusetts. Originally from Lebanon, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the American University of Beirut in 1982. After immigrating to the United States in 1983, I went on to earn my Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Massachusetts. Since then, I have taught and practiced Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and have assumed many leadership positions, including Chief of Vascular Surgery at Lebanese American University Medical Center-Rizk Hospital, along with several others. I am an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American Venous Forum. My area of expertise is advanced limb salvage and amputation prevention, complex arterial and venous diseases, and dialysis access creation and management.
