HOW YOU CAN HELP
The Metrolina Phoenician Club is always looking to grow its membership base; so if you know of a family new to our area that would be interested, please let us know or bring them to an event! The future of this club depends on our community and our youth!
CONTINGENCY FUND
Considering that there could be many Lebanese newcomers to town escaping the unbearable conditions in Lebanon as well as current MPC members who might be burdened with a serious need for financial or humanitarian assistance due to unexpected situations, the MPC wants to do what it can to help alleviate any pain that some of our brothers and sisters might be facing by creating a “Contingency Fund” for this specific purpose.
The Contingency Fund Committee is comprised of Lamia Hanna, Charles Saleh, and Tony Bikhazi.
Besides generous donations from members to raise this fund, the MPC is also planning on doing the following:
-
Allocate $5 from each Family Membership and $2 from each Single Membership.
-
Allocate $5 per person from the Haffleh attendance proceeds.
-
Allocate 15% of the proceeds generated from Raffle sales at the Haffleh.
-
Allocate $1 per person from revenue of other activities that the Club has during the calendar year.
Members contribution, large or small, is always welcome and appreciated.
Despite the fact that we are allocating money to the Contingency Fund, we must not forget that one of our priorities, as per the Constitution, is to maintain our funding to the charitable organizations in Lebanon which we do support every year. The Board will decide the final allocation and distribution to such organizations at the end of each year.
Happy Days.
